5 Seconds of Summer – Hollywood and Highland Center – Hollywood, CA – October 23, 2015
With fans anticipating the release of the new 5 Seconds of Summer album Sounds Good Feels Good, on October 23, 2015, 5SOS teamed up with Hot Topic Hollywood to have a free concert and a fan meet and greet to start off with a bang! 5SOS tweeted out “5SOSCrashHollywood” details coming soon!
Fans were talking about this up coming event but had no idea where and when. On October 22nd, they tweeted out “5SOSCrashHollywood” at Hot Topic at Hollywood and Highland October 23rd, all you had to do was be one of the first 500 in line at Hot Topic to pre-order the Sounds Good Feels Good CD and you would get a VIP Wristband.
Fans showed up as early as one in the morning to try to be first in line. Fans without wristbands were allowed to get spots behind where the VIP Wristband holders would be. By 10am there was already about 200 non-wristband fans in place for the show. Hot Topic had fans line up at 1pm, the fans stayed close by to make that mad dash to be one of the first in line. Around 1:30pm they started letting fans in 20 at a time to get their spots by the stage.

Finally it was time! First out was drummer Ashton Irwin, and the fans went crazy. Next Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood walked out on stage and all you can hear is loud screams.
5SOS started out with a version of “Hey Everybody!” that started a sing-along by the fans which sounded amazing! The band then moved onto their first single from their second album “She’s Kinda Hot,” Up next was “Amnesia,” from their first album. You could hear the fans singing along in perfect harmony. The band jumped right into “Jet Black Heart,” which was an early download if you pre-ordered Sounds Good Feels Good.
“If you don’t know who we are, this is a song you should know… hopefully,” said Hemmings. Then they jumped into “She Looks So Perfect,” one of their early hit singles and probably still their biggest.
After the show, fans had to wait to be let up to Hot Topic for the meet and greet, which went pretty fast. All in all fans were happy and 5 Seconds of Summer’s new album Sounds Good Feels Good looks like it will be a smash hit!

5 Seconds of Summer are becoming one of the biggest band in the music industry today. With this album release the band announced their “Sounds Live Feels Live” 2016 tour. Tickets are now on sale.
