Comic-Con New York 2014
Comic-Con: NY 2014. The New Batch.
The most amazing thing about Comic-Con New York isn’t necessarily the comics. Its the people. Yes, the people in costumes. To be more specific, its the chicks in costumes.

I mean, can we face a serious fact? Many of us go to Comic-Con to, yes… check out the latest trending comic or graphic novel, perhaps check out the latest and greatest games, but I know I’m there for the scantly dressed chicks. They say less is more. I happen to agree. Hey, at least I admit it.
Well, that’s not entirely true, I generally do walk the floor of the overcrowded Javits Center and despite knowing many people who attend, I didn’t bump into one person I knew.
I did manage to check out some of the new figurines being launched and of course, the rather large booths hosted by VFX company Weta and the somewhat popular TV show Walking Dead, a show impossible to ignore since all you needed to do was look down at your Comic-Con badge.

There were so many people at the Con, yes I can use this term since I’ve been going the past three years, that I actually saw ten folks, all wearing Deadpool outfits gather for a quick Deadpool cosplay (all shapes and sizes, I might add).
Con booths were packed with patrons and artist row was amazing, stuffed with artists from every possible comic genre.
The con organizers did an amazing job, as they couldn’t possibly have thought that their would be what I was hearing were 150,000 people over four days.

There was so much going on it as impossible to see it all. George Clooney showed up the first day which started at noon to pump his latest movie. Heck, there was even an original Karate Kid reunion in the lower level that I was too busy to attend.
Overall the Con folks have to be happy with the turnout and the amount of loot that was pouring through the Javit Center. Its undoubtedly an event growing in size and stature. My only regret was not being able to see Martin Kove. I mean after all, Cobra Kai will never die.
