Fit For a King, The Devil Wears Prada, Counterparts & Landmvrks – Fillmore Auditorium – Denver, CO – September 20, 2023
Fit For A King and The Devil Wears Prada teamed up to bring the Metalcore Dropouts Tour to Colorado. Back in March, The Devil Wears Prada opened for August Burns Red at The Fillmore in Denver. In November of last year, Fit For A King did the same for I Prevail. This time around, they both were playing their biggest headliner gig yet at the very same venue.
The night started with LANDMVRKS, a France-based metal band. Even though they were the first act of the night, Denver was prepared. Circle pits immediately started forming as they played, and they did not cease until the night ended.
Counterparts followed up with an equally fun set, asking the audience to send some crowd surfers over the barricade. Denver obeyed with enthusiasm.
As Counterparts ended their set, the crowd waited impatiently for the co-headliners to take the stage. First up was The Devil Wears Prada and they did not disappoint. Fans sang loudly along to songs including “Salt” and “Chemical.” The response from the crowd was incredible. It was clear how much this evening meant to the band, especially since it was one of their largest shows to date.
Fit For A King ended the night with a bang. As someone who watched them open at this same venue nearly a year ago, it was incredible seeing how they completely owned the stage this night. They were ready for this. The crowd was too. During the song “Falling Through The Sky,” the crowd surfing seemed to never end. Security had a hard time keeping up with all the bodies falling over the barricade.
I was blown away by all the performances on this tour. Everyone delivered the best show they possibly could. This run is only at the halfway mark so if they still haven’t hit your city, I would highly recommend catching the Metalcore Dropouts date near you. You are in for an unforgettable night!
