KT Tunstall & Kelvin Jones – World Cafe Live at The Queen – Wilmington, DE – February 22, 2017
Last Wednesday the indie-rock extraordinaire KT Tunstall wowed World Café Live at The Queen in Wilmington. With a dramatic lit-up sign displaying her K and T and her charm and wit on display in between each song, she was exhilarating.
Playing behind her 2016 LP KIN she unspooled a setlist with both new and old. New songs like “On My Star” perfectly fit in with her sublime “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.” And she brought out the covers, with The White Stripes and The Bangles popping up (“Seven Nation Army” and “Walk Like an Egyptian”) as well as a fan selected cover of Brandi Carlile’s “The Story.” Everything built up to the stunning set’s end of “Suddenly I See.” KT Tunstall is truly one-of-a-kind and should not be missed live or on vinyl.
Singer-songwriter Kelvin Jones opened up with a brilliant set of emotive, catchy songs that show he is a performer with a strong future ahead of him.
