Avengers: Endgame
Marvel Timeline Brought Up to Date
I have been living and breathing Marvel™ since 2012 when Avengers: Assemble was released. At the time, I was ten years old. As I come back from watching Endgame, I’m seventeen. Though I haven’t been with these iconic characters for eleven years, I can definitively say that the seven years I have spent growing and learning with these heroes – my heroes – have been the best seven years of my life. While it pains me to know that this chapter of my life is coming to a close, it warms my heart to know that its sendoff is Avengers: Endgame.
While the effects and character storylines were fake, the emotion was real. Every single crew member (from actor to makeup artist to caterer) poured their heart and soul into this film, and you can tell. Endgame was painful (I went through an entire box of tissues), long (three hours!), but well worth every tear and every second. This franchise that I have held so close to my heart couldn’t have ended in a more perfect, heartbreaking, and soulful conclusion.
Here is an updated timeline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which we previously shared last year when Infinity War was released. Use it as a reference before you see Endgame or to catch you up on things you may have forgotten.
