After four-weeks of voting, the 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards splashed onto the screens of millions. And though kids’ (and adults’) attention spans can be minuscule, Nickelodeon left everyone wanting more.

The 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards were held on March 24, 2018, at the Forum in Inglewood, California. For the second year in a row, WWE favorite John Cena hosted the slime-tastic event. Other favorites who attended the event were; Shawn Mendes, Dwayne Johnson, Miranda Sings, and Camila Cabello. Only at the Kids’ Choice Awards can you get a wrestlers, YouTubers, and singers all in the same room… or Forum. Pretty awesome.

Throughout the night the crowd was fortunate enough to watch chart-smashing band N.E.R.D and social media starlet Jojo Siwa perform. N.E.R.D performed “Lemon,” with the help of kid dancers busting moves on top of cafeteria tables. While JoJo Siwa impressed by performing her three hits, “Kid in a Candy Store,” “Hold the Drama” and “Boomerang,” (prior to getting covered in slime).

Speaking of slime, we can’t talk about the KCA’s without getting into detail about the slime. More specifically, taste. After extensive research, it has been determined that slime tastes like vanilla pudding. But with a nice little touch of green food coloring, slime just looks THAT much slimier. While now we know slime tastes good, it is hard to feel bad for people who get slimed. Especially for those who were added to the “slimed roster” at the 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards; Liza Koshy, JoJo Siwa, Heidi Klum and Mel B.

Throughout the show, viewers at home got an extra special treat: an interactive digital experience.  They were able to choose what stunts happened during the live show by casting votes, a very important job. The stunts included Black-ish star Marsai Martin wearing “Guac Socks” and social media influencers Alex Wassabi and LaurDIY tackling the “Fear Box” challenge. The show wrapped up with an amazing list of winners in hand. With each speech leaving a lasting impression on the audience, this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards were one for the books.
