Tycho – The Roxy Theatre – Hollywood (A PopEntertainment.com Concert Review)

Tycho – The Roxy Theatre – Hollywood, CA – September 5, 2024

Five years since his last tour, Tycho (an alias for frontman Scott Hansen) is back to command the stage. The Grammy-nominated electronic music artist immediately got the crowd swaying with calming melodies and futuristic synths, entrancing the crowd at his sold-out show at The Roxy with ease.

Tycho’s headline tour ushers in a new era that coincides with the release of his seventh studio album, Infinite Health. The album retains the meditative qualities that clearly define Tycho’s music while also evolving his sound with more drums and rhythmic elements.

The album’s first single, “Phantom,” represents that vision clearly – with Tycho incorporating a new style of bass in the song, in close collaboration with album co-producers Chris Taylor (of the indie band Grizzly Bear) and Zac Brown (Tycho’s guitarist).

Backed by psychedelic visuals projected onto Tycho and the band, the concert maintained a laidback energy throughout the night that beautifully complemented his atmospheric sound.

There are still opportunities for fans to catch Tycho’s live music experience up close, with North American tour dates going till November 16th.
